Using oye

oye provides live transcription and translation tools for events, churches, and similar gatherings. You may use oye for organizational, ministry, event, and commercial purposes, subject to these terms and your plan limits.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure. If you create an account for an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for that organization.

Permission to Capture Audio

You are responsible for giving any notices and getting any permissions required to capture, transcribe, translate, display, save, or share spoken content. Do not use oye where recording, transcription, translation, or display is prohibited by law, venue rules, or participant expectations.

Audio, Transcripts, and Translations

Live audio is processed by oye and its service providers to provide transcription, translation, captions, saved sessions, and related features. Saved text sessions may depend on your plan. You keep your rights to the audio, transcripts, translations, and other content you provide.

Service Providers

oye uses third-party providers for hosting, authentication, billing, transcription, translation, summaries, storage, security, and operations. These providers may process audio, transcripts, translations, account data, usage data, and billing data only as needed to provide and protect the service.

Plans and Billing

Free and paid plans may include limits on usage, saved sessions, language streams, and retention. Paid billing is handled by our payment provider. Plan features and prices may change, but changes will not reduce paid access during the current billing period unless required by law.

Acceptable Use

Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, overload the service, resell raw access as a competing transcription API, or use it to violate law, privacy rights, intellectual property rights, or venue rules.

Service Availability

The service is provided on an as-available basis. Transcriptions, translations, captions, language detection, and summaries may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate, especially with noisy audio, overlapping speakers, poor connectivity, accents, specialized vocabulary, music, or unsupported language conditions. Do not rely on oye for emergency, legal, medical, or safety-critical decisions.

Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, oye is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.
